the code doesn't work becouse you have to close the php tag
copy this in the file testcookies.php
Code: [Select]
<?php
if (setcookie('testcookie'23time() + 500'/')){
 print
'ok';
 }
 else{
  print
'cookie failed';
  }
?>

What is your website url?  Do you see any error message or anything that is printed at the very start of the page (if you view the page source)

Try this and let me know what you see:
Create a file name 'testcookies.php' with the following content: (make sure there are no spaces before the <? part)
Code: [Select]
<?php
if (setcookie('testcookie'23time() + 500'/')){
 print
'ok';
 }

 else{
  print
'cookie failed';
  }

upload it to your server and visit that page, it should print 'ok'

No errors of any kind on pages.

Your code didn't work.  This is what I see:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/ezinetim/public_html/testcookies.php on line 2

URL is ezinetime.com

Thank you for the help.
I still get the same message after fixing the code:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/ezinetim/public_html/testcookies.php on line 2

There are no blanks on the code. Go and try it yourself here: http://ezinetime.com/testcookies.php
You will see the result: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/ezinetim/public_html/testcookies.php on line 2

Besides, what is this code supposed to do? Just test if there are cookies? How is it going to solve my problem? I can not login, I get the message I need to enable cookies no matter what I do. From different computers, different browsers, different OSs, it is just frustrating, I am about to scrap this site. Your help will be appreciated.

It is necessary for you to provide access (login and the password) on the server where there is your site. I will copy files of a site and a database. On outside domain name (I have some empty domain names which aren't used) I will test operation of a code of a script. In case of detection of problem lines I will report a place where it is. I will help you free of charge.

When trying to login I get a message saying I have to enable cookies. Cookies of course are enabled. I noticed this happening before. I could not log from other computers. I was getting the same message. I never had a problem loging in from one of my laptops. I actually did not have to login, the site automatically recognized me even if I logged out. I thought that was a little strange but I never thought too much about it. Until I decided to log in with a different username, when trying to go back to the admin then everything failed. I can't login with any user name now. All of them come back with the same response. It is not a wrong user/pass message. Whenever I make a mistake with any of them, I get the wrong user message. It happens whenever I have the correct username and password. It happens in all computers, all networks, all OSs.

Can you PM me your admin username / password?
I see some Google Analytics javascript code on your site that is added *before* even the <html> tag.  That might be the reason that cookies are not working, try removing the code or rather put it just before the </body> tag (which is what Google recommends anyway)
